Dear Sir,
Re: Savings Bank Account No. 400 of George Tan – Deceased.
We have been informed of the death of Mr. George Tan by his sister Miss Elizabeth Tan, who now claims the balance of $ 1,000.00 which stands to the credit of the deceased in his savings bank account with us. Miss Elizabeth Tan has offered to file an affidavit to the effect that the deceased was her real brother and that he was unmarried and had died intestate. She has also further offered to execute an Indemnity Bond, signed by the entire family along with two sureties, both high ranking government officials, to the effect that there is no other claimant to the balance of the deceased. The
claimant and the two sureties also hold savings bank accounts with us.
Would you please allow us to transfer the balance of the deceased to the account of the claimant as suggested by the latter?
Thank you.
Benjamin Yeop
(Branch Manager)
